The SEC Morwell Hub classroom is located on the ground floor with direct access from Commercial Road.
We also have a disabled toilet located on the ground floor.

What time should we arrive for our session?

We request that you arrive approximately 10 minutes before the start time of your session so that we can orientate the students and do some housekeeping.

What if we are late to our session?

If you are running late, please email schools@secvictoria.com.au to let us know.

How many students can the Morwell SEC hub accommodate at once?

The SEC Morwell Hub can accommodate up to 30 students.

What level of supervision is required?

As per the Department of Education and Training supervision requirements, we recommend teachers and supervisors accompany students at a ratio of 1:10 for primary groups and 1:15 for secondary groups.

While SEC staff members will be responsible for running the session and making students aware of bathroom locations and emergency procedures, duty of care and classroom management remains the responsibility of the classroom teacher.

Please discuss appropriate behaviour with your students beforehand.

Does SEC comply with Victoria’s Child Safe Standards?

SEC Victoria is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and is compliant with Victorian Child Safe Standards.  All hub staff have been trained in appropriate ways to work with children, and all have a valid Working with Children Check.

The school group sessions are run by VIT registered teachers.

Evacuation and lockdown procedures are in place at the SEC Morwell Hub and staff trained in First Aid and fire wardens are on site at all times.

How do we get there?

The SEC Morwell Hub is located at 248 Commercial Road, Morwell.

If arriving by bus, a bus zone can be found outside of the Flexible Learning Options (FLO) school on Chapel Street (adjacent to the SEC Morwell Hub).

If arriving by train, the Morwell Railway Station is conveniently located 400 metres away from the Hub.

Please supervise your students as they cross the road and make their way to the Hub.

What do students do with their bags?

We ask that students only bring essential supplies (food, water, medical devices, etc.) There is limited space to leave school bags in the SEC Morwell Hub.

Where can the students have lunch?

Students are welcome to eat their packed lunch at the tables and chairs provided in the kitchen area of the SEC Morwell Hub.
If your class would prefer, there is also park space across the road at the Morwell Skatepark.

Are there public toilets at the SEC Morwell hub?

Yes! We have three toilets, including one accessible toilet facility. We ask that all students are accompanied by a school staff member to ensure safety.
